Blackbeard's Treasure

Some time has passed since the Endeavour and her crew found the Archive and with each of the valiant 250 crew rewarded with a mystical Kraken Talisman, it is finally time for them to make way for the Rayon Passage.

During their time with the Archive, being the first recorded encounter with land since the Collapse, and having started the process of working through what was once thought to be lost, the surviving crew retrieved and repaired the Endeavour.

With the ship repaired and under the protection of their Talisman, Sparrow's crew returned to a hero’s welcome all along the Rayon Passage.

Upon their return, some of the crew squandered their newly found treasure. Gossip and tales abound of crew losing their Talisman in drunken games of chance, or fleecing them for profits on the Black Market in Tortuga, only then with those profits to be flitted away in taverns throughout the floating cities.

Others, Kraken Talisman in hand and armed with the knowledge of the location of the Archive, alongside their Elders, began to devise plans in order to return to unlock the secrets and treasures of the old world.

A fleet of Ships would be needed, seasoned Captains would be required, and most of all an able Crew is a must.

It would take time.

While most of the secrets of the Archive could not be unlocked by the Endeavours' crew, there were a number of items that were carried with them on their return to the various floating cities. One such item was a collection of documents relating to the ancient Order of the Kraken with references to the Pirate bloodlines being all that remained.

These documents, delivered to the Elders, had for the first time a full collection of the once forgotten Pirate family trees and images of the family crests. Now with the complete understanding of their meaning and the truth behind these crests, the call has been sent out far and wide for the respective OTK bloodlines to gather. And so under the guidance of the Talisman holders, the task of gathering up members of the 12 Pirate families from all along the Rayon Passage, in order to return to the Archive has been set in motion.

The restoration of the Order of the Kraken has begun.🏴‍☠️

One additional element in the collation of discovered texts, being a series of ancient letters which are repeated throughout the texts so their importance is clear, but as yet remains undeciphered:

Over heard in the Tavern just before an almighty brawl broke out:

"Perhaps ye knows too much… ye’ve seen the cursed treasure, you know where it be hidd’n. Now proceed at your own risk. These be the last ‘friendly’ words ye’ll hear. Ye may not survive to pass this way again…"

On a much closer inspection of the documents recovered from the Archive, it is known that there be a treasure of potentially epic proportions out there, just waiting to be found.

The documents go on to tell us that in order for the discovery to be made would-be Pirate Treasure Hunters, will need to solve a number of clues and puzzles with many a twist and turn....and that copious amounts of rum is not only recommended but also encouraged!

And lastly, a stark warning, it will only be the true Pirate Treasure Hunters amongst us who will prevail….

Once the location of the treasure chest is uncovered, the hunt will begin!

So best get right with Neptune or Poseidon or which ever other god you seafaring layabouts pray to at the moment and avoid all superstitious omens that may bring about bad luck because you scallywags are gonna be needing all the help you can get!
