Whilst still in the very early stages of development, listed here are some of the high level aspirations of the Project.
The concept of a "Brethren Court" for community governance to add elements of community participation and decision-making in the Project as a whole.
A Project owned and operated in-game marketplace for trading NFTs, treasures, and tokens to allow participants to trade and exchange valuable in-game items and resources in support of the overall Project and game economy.
An educational platform on crypto and general finance to provide to support onboarding both native and non-native crypto users and to add an additional layer of value to the OTK community, making the Project and eventual game not only fun but also informative and educational.
A Graphic novel to extend the game's lore and backstory, and provide a deeper understanding of the game's world and characters seeking to bridge the world of web2 and web3 in support of the onboarding of new users.
To develop a recognised brand to allow for merchandising and other e-commerce opportunities to support the overall monetisation of the Project by providing additional revenue streams for the Project and its development.
To combine the fun and excitement of gaming and the potential to own, manage and trade valuable game assets. These activities are to include mini-games, treasure hunts, voyages of discovery, and ultimately competing with other participants to unlock, treasury, lore and artefacts.
The rewards earned through these activities are intended to be used to purchase in-game items, access special features and experiences, or where possible to traded on cryptocurrency exchanges for real-world value.
The Project will look to develop its own staking platform as a feature to support the Project with its token distribution and to allow participants to potentially unlock value from their NFTs, game assets and other in-game activities.
To allow participants to buy and sell items and also to provide access to special in-game features, events as well as provide internal and external utility for the Project. The Project is considering creating its own token being that a bespoke token designed with the Project's ambitions in mind will bring additional flexibility and use cases that may not be available when only using ADA.
As part of supporting its community and community engagement ambitions, the Project will look to implement a number of mini-games. For example a web based Liar's Dice mini-game to provide additional gameplay elements in supporting the the overall pirate themed narrative and to add additional depth and variety to the Project providing participants with a more engaging experience.
To expand on the foundations with the NFT collection and attract new participants, and once the Project reaches its critical mass and adoption, to develop a Play-to-Own game.
