The Kraken Talisman
And so it begins!
After the discovery of the Archive by Captain James Sparrow and his crew, the Project released their first NFT, the Kraken Talisman.
The Kraken Talisman is the first in the collection and consisted of 75 Gold Kraken and 175 Obsidian Kraken with a total of 250 NFTs under this policy ID.
The holders of a Talisman will be given OG status in the OTK discord and in addition to the protections it will provide in later parts of the envisaged gameplay, the holder will immediately through it use and application, unlock some of its more mystical powers, which are set out in more detail here.
As referenced above, the Talisman has a number of attributes which are important for future aspects of the Project, namely:
Family (in reference to the ancient family bloodlines)
Background (in reference to the events which Captain James Sparrow and his crew survived in searching for the Archive) and
Compass (in reference to the navigational challenges encountered by the Endeavour).
Three key elements for the future to bear in mind are:
Fortune (how lady luck smiles upon you)
Resilience (how you take a licking and keep on kicking) and
Navigation (no matter where you are you always know the way home)
The attributes (including the Gems) of a Kraken will affect each of these elements.
While the Talisman are too powerful to stack for their reward distribution, a Pirate Captain may for example want to send one Talisman with one of his first fleet of ships and his second with the other.
Talisman benefits in terms of WL will however be stackable subject to overall wallet limits as dealt with later here
3% royalties on secondary sales payable to the Project's Treasury to be utilised exclusively for the Project's development.
While most of the crew of the Endeavour have been able to hold on to their Talisman, there have been some who have squandered away these treasure on the Black Market in Tortuga and these can still be purchased here.
